Stacye J. Harborth, DDS
Passionate Dentist in Salisbury, NC
I was born and raised locally in Mocksville, NC. My passion for dentistry began at the age of 15 when I went to the dentist. Their impact on me was so profound and positive that I wanted to impact others in the same manner. I began taking a dental assistant apprenticeship course in high school so that I could start working towards my dream. I worked at Dr. Billings office in Cooleemee, NC for two years as a dental assistant. Upon graduating high school, I was accepted to dental hygiene school at Guilford Technical Community College where I was able to receive an excellent education in dental hygiene. After working for eight years full time and completing pre-requisites for dental school part time, I was accepted at one of the top dental schools in the nation, The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. I feel so very fortunate to be accepted and attend dental school but especially from this very student and research-oriented school in which I had the most wonderful faculty. I still aspire to the very high standards that were set for me in this facility. I also had the opportunity to receive my certificate in dental education. With my background in hygiene, I was able to educate my fellow students as I went along in the program and receive credit for it.
During dental school, I met my wonderful husband, Daniel, and we now have two beautiful daughters!! After moving back to North Carolina, I was very motivated to provide the quality dental care I knew I could deliver after being in the field for so long. I knew this meant to look for a dental practice.
After just a short time, I discovered Dr. T. Wayne Wilson’s practice in Salisbury, NC. I knew the area was perfect because it was so close to where I was born and raised. I met Dr. Wilson and I knew when I met him the type of man he is. Because of his character and positive, sweet attitude, I knew he developed a wonderful practice built on compassion and family. It was the perfect fit for me! Dr. Wilson and I share the same practice philosophy. I knew that he waited for someone like me to assume his practice and continue to care for his patients that became his family.
I look forward to continuing to care for Dr. Wilson’s patients and to giving a warm welcome to all new patients who are looking for a dentist. I hope in reading this you have come to understand my passion for dentistry, where it began and how much I look forward to continuing to dedicate my life to my patients!
